Headless brown body with cherry puree very apparent as it gives it a red tinge that's even more apparent as you get closer.
Danish cherries and Luxardo gooeyness meets a chewy whiskey dryness that's quite delish--it's just, not much quad going on here.

A: Pours a dark brown color with ruby highlights. A small bubbly head forms, and recedes to nothing in a second.
S: Some harsh alcohol up front and a dirty kind of woody aroma up front as well. Then, I get more of a sweet cherry aroma than anything, and it takes over after a minute.
T: More cherry up front. Which becomes syrupy, sweet and medicinal. Plenty of booze that borders on a more fusel alcohol level. Just a hint of woody flavor lingering.
M/O: A full body and low carbonation. This is syrupy for sure, and even for a barrel aged offering, its not particularly clean. A bit rough all around. Which makes this more of a chore to finish for me.
I wish there was more of a tartness and classic Brett Funk here. As is, medicinal cherries, and more dirty wood than anything for me. Along with this being a big booze fest. Some of this could work on its own, but together, I find it kind of a mess. The Belgian Quad is also drowned out by everything else. Not for me.
