If their light was like Bud Light, then this is Budweiser. KK commented that it also has more lacing in addition to a deeper golden color, a bubbly head and more of a hops flavor and taste than the light. Again, DC also emphatically states it “smells like beer”.

Bottle was a 2006 GABF left-over that was given to me as a reward for my volunteer efforts. Thanks a million to GABF and to Big Dog Brewing for the opportunity. Entered into judging as a German Pils.

Pours a half finger clingy white head over a semi-cloudy dull straw liquid. Smells pungent hoppy with spicey saaz umph. Honey and a touch of grass. Clean malty of fresh grains.

Zingy hops with gritty and graqssy. Nice sweet of malt underneath fills the profile. Pepper finish from hops and perhaps a touch of carbonation acrid. Melon sweet in the aftertaste.

Pretty chewy for a pils. Nice end of summer flavor and a bit heavy. Good for the fall. Quite drinkable.

this is exactly what is sets out to be. a BMC clone that sneaks a little extra under the radar. golden in color with a bright white head, it smells clean with a slight honey like malt. crisp in the mouth, lightly sweet with nice blance, it is refreshing and smooth. goes down easily and is a solid burger beer.

Apppearance: arrived in a pint glass looking clear yellow with a 1" head. No lacing developed, and minimal carbonation was visibile.

Smell: The aroma was very light, as only some malt and grass were detectable.

Taste: A pleasant mild malty brew, with some hints of citrus and a mild bitterness. Simple and straightforward, a beer that has some decent flavor that a typical macro lover could enjoy.

Mouthfeel: lightly crisp at the start and finish. Very clean aftertaste. Light in body.

Drinkability: very good. This can be quaffed all day, but with the other offerings one was enough. Nice simple beer that was quite refreshing.
