Fantastic porter! Chocolate with bourbon throughout the mouth. Not overly heavy, but perfect for a cool evening.

Aroma - Rich Cabernet from Silver Oak barrel aging
Appearance - Black with thick tan head which remains on the beer to the bottom of the glass. Bottle conditioning is apparent.
Taste - powerful Cabernet up front, followed by an interplay of oak tannin and roasted malts. Malt body livens up as beer warms to room temp, excellent at 55 degrees.
Mouthfeel - Bottle conditioning shines as the mouthfeel is greatly enhanced from refermentation in the bottle. Smaller bubbles leave a creamy mouthfeel on a drier finish.
Fine example of red wine barrel aging, a rarity in today's bourbon and Chardonnay dominated market.
