On tap at Monk's in Sioux Falls, SD.
A - Pours a crystal clear light amber with a minimal off white head. A beautiful beer.
S - Aroma is lacking and definitely not reflective of the taste. Faint malts.
T - Biscuity malt. With some German hoppiness. Grassy hops. But hops are low.
Mf - Medium body with a dry finish.

draught
Creamy, thin head. Medium light gold in color. Light, floral hop and off-dry, slight spiced, light toast malt aroma. A little bitey start, then a touch of bitterness comes in, and light spiced, floral hop and malt flavor.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden yellow color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of crackers, bready notes, caramel and a hint of citrus. Sweet caramel malt with toffee and a mild bitterness.

Pours a clear golden color. A bit darker golden. 1 finger head. Frothy and fluffy head. The head retention is decent. It dissipates into a ring that clings to the glass.
The nose is malty, of course. The malt isn't very sweet, but there is some here.
Taste - This is an Oktoberfest. Roasty malts. Tons of biscuit flavor here. Some sweetness here, but not crazy.
The body is decent. The beer does cling a bit to my throat with the roasty malts.
A good example of this style.

Poured from a bottle into a Nonic pint glass.
Pours medium gold and slightly hazed with a decent head but better lacing.
Toasted malts on the nose with beady yeast and earthy and grassy hops in the background.
Solid but not overly sweet toasted malts on the tip of the tongue. Some zesty yeast in midstream with a little bready fruitiness. Closes with solid balancing grass and earth.
Excellent well carbonated and mildly drying. A bit more tingle than a typical festbier.
Proof that the festbier is really deserving of its own style profile. Moderately dry and extremely well balanced. Zip line keeps impressing me.
