Aroma is mostly light roast with sweet chocolate. The flavor is much more complex with a good bit of chocolate some roasted malt and also notes of toffee and raisins. Finishes clean and dry.

Pours a dark ruby brown, almost black. Small light tan head that stuck around during the entire pint. Aroma is sight roast, raisins, malt, and warm alcohol. Taste is initially really nice with instant deep malt, dark caramel, nice roast kick (but within style) followed by a touch of hot alcohol. I could use a little smoother finish. Overall a really nice beer and very pleased to see someone brewing this style in Nebraska.

The label admits it's a lager, so this is clearly not a porter.
Dark chocolate with a frothy beige head.
Aromas of roast coffee grounds. Some malt, hints of chocolate.
Flavor is decidedly roasty but has planty undertones with some semi-sweet chocolate and coffee.
Feel definitely leans towards the lager side. Mild creaminess.
This was meh. Not returning.

Pours from the bomber nearly black with a tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
The taste is chocolate and roasty goodness with a hint of dark fruit and a lovely finish of dark chocolate bitterness. A nice bit of boozy warmth.
Mouthfeel is medium smooth and creamy.
A fortifying and satisfying winter brew!

Smell is heavy roasted coffee beans and chocolate.
Taste mirrors the smell along with hints of vanilla, and some nuttiness (almost like hazelnut).
Overall, a huge surprise - probably my new favorite from Zipline and an awesome beer I'd definitely have again!

Good dark color, decent head that lasts about 2 minutes. Smell is sweet chocolate, roast. Taste is crisp, clear sweet roast, nothing overpowering, balance is the word. My favorite beer style, done by probably the best Nebraskan brewery. Thank you Zipline
