Pours a murky dark copper with two fingers of off-white foam on top. Good head retention, with large bubbles and foam forming a ring that lurks around the edge of the beer for quite some time. Lacing is splattered about. Aroma is tropical fruits, papaya, and mango. A little bit of pine hop sticks to the aroma as well. It has a sweet nectar smell to it. Flavor profile is papaya, mango, and pineapple. Pine and resin hops give it a twinge of bitterness. Mouth feel is nearing velvety, with a slightly grainy medium thickness forming the bulk of the feel. Overall, a strong appearance from the pour, and quality tropical fruit notes in the aroma set this beer up for success, with the flavor profile nearly following it up.

Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a very large foamy head. It smell of tropical fruit - pineapple, mango and orange. Sweet and juicy with a strong fruity flavor. A nice bitterness to smooth things out, too.

Pours a cloudy amber with a thin eggshell head that laces nicely. Smell mildly of pine and even more so of bread or crackers. It tastes hoppy, boozy and clean. A light oily hoppiness on the palate. Nice DIPA, but not outsdtanding

why havent more of us heard of zipline? and why arent we all freaking out about how good all of their beers are? is it the nebraska isolation thing? well, forget that, every single beer i have had from them has been fantastic, and this big juicy tropical hop bomb of an ipa is one of their best. its loaded with some of the sexiest hops in the game right now, and they are used expertly, seemingly largely late kettle and dry hopping, the aroma here is brilliant, pineapple and mango and lime, even kiwi fruit and melon. its juicy as can be, still somewhat bitter in the flavor, and scary drinkable with such a light and smooth feel and not a hint at its sturdy abv. the hop flavor here is incredibly fresh and distinctive, this seems like what everyone is trying to get to with these hops, some of the best and brightest flavors i have seen from them are in here. i didnt get a chance to try the regular new zealand ipa, i wish i did. this is so drinkable its dangerous, a session version of it, which i assume that one is, at least comparatively, would be perfect for this time of year. i should have grabbed a few more of these to bring back, its amazing...
edit: just had a special gin barrel aged edition of this, and wow, the juniper and heavy botanicals bring out these amazing new zealand hops even more. super fresh and entirely unique, i loved it!

Smell is mango, pineapple, malt, stone fruit - primarily peaches, and orange peel. Taste is a Hawaiian Punch-esque flavor with predominantly pineapple, and a slightly boozy taste. The mouthfeel is slightly thin for a double IPA. I prefer Zipline's double IPA to this double NZ IPA, but this is an interesting and slightly more tropical option.
