Overall this is a pretty nice RIPA. Love the auburn color, and good amount of spicy rye on the nose and in the flavor. A bit too rich and creamy feeling for me , for the style, but finishes with a good amount of bitterness. Cheers!

Pours a dark amber, slightly opaque with a two-finger head that is slow to die down. Lacing is a torn curtain of persistence. Aroma -- grain, hops, rosemary and thyme.
Taste is a grainy but generally mellow IPA. Minimal citrus, minimal malts. I have to admit I'm not getting rye or even bread. Maybe clove? Feels closer to a brown ale, with slightly boozy malty profile, pine soda, a gesture towards citrus that's only a residual of the piney hops in here. Heavy carbonation. It's flavorful "beer" without a distinct characteristic that overpowers it.
I ordered this from Tavour because I loved Zipline's Double IPA -- perfectly balanced and nothing arrogant or out-of-the-box. This is the same, with rye added. Very well balanced, IBU at 66. You could do worse.
