12 oz can into a Becher glass.
L: Pours medium hazed apricot color with a 1/4" eggshell white rounded head that has OK retention, light steady carbo bubbles, open webby lacing with banding. There are a few chunks of sediment.
S: Citrus zest, a hint of pineapple, melon, lightly floral, very distant alcohol with warming.
T: Slightly soft citrus, pineapple, peach, a touch of wheat, essentially fruit salad, light pith, hard candy, caramelized malts, moderately sweet overall and gently robust. Has a medium-length linger and is lightly tangy. There's a hint of alcohol with warming.
F: Brisk, juicy, medium-bodied feel with a clean middle and a medium-length clean, lightly drying finish. Fairly smooth overall.
O: A very easy drinking American IPA at 8% ABV with fairly deep and juicy fruit notes. Well balanced & smooth. Drinks like an IPA in the mid 6% range. It is very good to excellent in its style.

A Microbrewed Beer Club offering. Pours a pale gold color a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of grapefuit and pine grasses. Taste is tangy grapefuit. Kind of sweet and not overly bitter.

12 oz single bottle, best by 10/20/20, into Ploughshare wide mouthed glass.
Appears to be brewed with Kviek yeast, one of my favorites.

The violent hiss brings a nice mist from the bottle and I glug it into the glass, forming a dark copper-orange-yellow reminiscent of either oxidation or significant caramel malt; with a creamy sticky head of 1/2 finger, leaving lots of lace behind.

The oxidation fears may be true as this aroma has the clear markers of hop spoilage - loud and clear. Some nasty caramel notes and expired fruit fill out the profile here. There's perhaps a little bit of key lime zest and coconut but otherwise it's mostly hop spoilage and caramel malt.

The flavor doesn't taste as faded as the nose smells but it's somewhere in there. I don't know how to say this except it's probably the weirdest, most disconnected IPA I've ever laid lips to. Some expired papaya comes out with hints of orange marmalade, marshmallow, and black tea... then a weird tropical nightmare of coconut, key lime, rotten mango, and corn husks.

Feel is acidic and juicy, seems Zipline has dialed this in which is great. Has a good carbonation level and alcohol is kept in check.

Overall, would I return to this one? Only to buy it and burn it so no one else has to try it. This bottle had a best by date of 2 months from now, and it still tastes like an expired hop fest from the equator. This is like Barrel Runner's base beer. Blech.

Price paid : $1.99 / bottle
Would purchase again : GTFO with this

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled very fruity and tropical with caramel sweetness. Sweet orange, pineapple and grapefruit taste with toasted caramel and a sharp bitterness.

Pours a murky-hazy dark orange with a finger of white foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is resiny, piney, earthy, citrusy with some tropical fruit undertones. Flavor profile is resiny, piney, earthy with a rindy orange and lemon zest finish. There is a bit of hop stick at the back, that lingers for a long time, the hops seemingly fusing with the tongue. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a chalky layer that has a little gritty grain to it. Overall, sticky and full, you know it's 7.7% ABV, but that resiny hop stick adds to the luster.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 12oz bottle.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip.

Pours medium gold and lightly hazed (not cloudy) with a nice three-fingered foamy head (special given the ABV) that retains well. Good legs and lacing also.

Aromas of peach, mango, pineapple, and mandarin orange.

Honey-kissed graham and sweet orange on the tip of the tongue, the brew then opens up into mango, papaya, pineapple and peach flavors in midstream, where some piney and dank notes start to assert themselves. Some chive and warming booze come in at the very finish, but the overall ABV is well hidden. It skews a little sweet overall.

The brew is solidly medium. A little sticky, and could use a bit more carbonation.

This is another solid Zipline brew, but it's a little sticky sweet.
