White Stout
Close your eyes and let the darkness overtake you with layers of chocolate, espresso, and roast in this deliciously deceptive brew.

12oz can. Can bottom is stamped 'BEST BY 06-04-23'.
Clear, deep amber colored body. Short lasting off white head. No lacing.
Aroma of toasted malts (dark bread), sweet chocolate, and a bit of coffee.
Taste is similar to a sweetened port. Coffee is more prominent and lasts into the aftertaste. Chocolate malts mix in.
Silky mouth feel. Slight carbonation.
Dense and deep beer.

Poured into a tulip.
Pours medium brown, murky, and turbid, with a limited head but really great lacing.
Aromas of espresso coffee, cocoa, and moderately-roasted barley malt.
The flavors follow the nose. Lactose sweet vanilla on the tip of the tongue with modest coffee and cocoa in midstream. Decent bitterness at the finish. Very limited booze.
Medium bodied. Decently carbonated and has a nice moderate drying finish. Close to a sipper but not quite.
So. Is the "white stout" a stout, or a strong American ale? The world may never know. Regardless, this iteration of a white stout is just a good beer. Tasty.
