Bombogenesis NE IPA is a collaboration with our good friends from Captain Lawrence Brewing in New York and named after everyone's favorite winter storm.
This triple dry-hopped & hazy NE IPA is full of tropical fruit notes, pineapple and papaya with a soft mouthfeel from the addition of oats and flaked malt.

In the glass it looks deep gold with a orange tint to it. Big, foamy, two finger head that leaves lacing everywhere. The aroma is sweet with caramel, pineapple, orange with floral notes and a hint of piney hops. Lightly sweet upfront with a quick hit of caramel then some citrus fruit with a pithy bitterness. Nice finish has some bitterness and floral flavors.

A: Pours a hazy medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass with moderate amounts of burnt orange + dark golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a small to medium sized patch of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of tropical/pineapple, citrus/grapefruit, citrus/grapefruit zest, and dank resinous hops over the top of moderate aromas of lightly toasted + caramel + biscuit malts with a moderate amount of caramel sweetness.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of lightly toasted + caramel + biscuit malts with a moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of tropical/pineapple, citrus/grapefruit, citrus/grapefruit zest, herbal, and dank resinous hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which lingers for a short amount of time leaving a lingering dank resinous hop flavors.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially crisp with a light amount of slickness through the middle and a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Maybe not a true NE IPA as it is not nearly as juicy as some of the other definitely examples of the style but a very enjoyable hazy IPA with minimal bitterness. Very enjoyable and easy to drink with well hidden alcohol.

Hazy gold color with a pure white frothy head that sticks to everything. Resinous, citrusy hop nose...pine, granola, weed, and orange. Peppery leafy dankness coats an underlying pineapple and grapefruit zest fruitiness. There's a nice oily resinous quality that is missing from most of the other Trophy IPAs. Slick medium body with a decently crisp finish. Not super juicy - which is totally fine - a nice amount of dankness. Solid IPA.
