We’ve teamed up with our neighbors at Dorothea Dix Park to create A Walk in Our Park, a session IPA brewed with sunflowers to celebrate the first annual Sunfest happening this Saturday at the park! The addition of sunflowers in the boil lends this session IPA a soft mouthfeel which pairs perfectly with hoppy citrus notes on the finish. It tastes like summer in a can!

A: Pours a hazy pale straw yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate pale yellow + pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy bright white head that reduces to a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Just shy of moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of slightly juicy citrus/grapefruit, citrus/orange, citrus/lemon zest, and floral hops over light aromas of grainy + wheat + oat malts with a hint of grainy sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light flavors of grainy + wheat + oat malts with a hint of grainy sweetness. That is followed by just shy of moderate flavors of slightly juicy citrus/grapefruit, citrus/orange, citrus/lemon zest, and floral hops which impart a hint of bitterness which fades away almost instantly leaving light lingering citrus hops flavors.
M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a slight softness mid-body and hints of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol, refreshing, and perfect for the summer with the citrus and subtle floral flavors + aromas. Could easily have a couple of these.
