Canned on 4/26/2023. Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It pours a dense, opaque, orange with a large, fluffy, bright white cap and lots of sudsy lacing. An aromatic, fruity nose featuring lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, ripe melon, a whiff of onion, and floral hops. Its taste offers a good balance of tart citrus and some sweet tropical fruit. The tried and true recipe of Mosaic and Citra hops works well. The North Carolina malted oats add some additional sweetness and thickness. It's medium-bodied and carbonated and drinks very easily at 6.6% ABV. Overall, Batting 1000 is a rock solid, North Carolina-brewed NEIPA. I let the can sit for awhile in the fridge but it held up quite well. I suspect that when enjoyed fresh and on draught with pizza, it's really enjoyable.
triple dry-hopped with Mosaic Cryo and Citra hops. It features a soft malt base of Chit Malt from Epiphany Malt House and Malted Oats from Carolina Malt House.
