a belgian pale with lemongrass and peppercorns. its really light on the additives, the lemongrass is more evident than the peppercorns, but its really subtle on both counts. the belgian yeast is by far the main flavor agent, and although it too is relaxed compared with other american made belgian styles, its still really yeast driven. not bubblegum or sweet fruity, but a light spice that picks up the pepper more in the nose than the taste, and has a mellow pear sort of flavor, without being sweet. hops are pretty reserved, more of a springtime grassy complexion, likely styled to match up with the lemongrass. i like the concept of this one, and i like the execution, i just want it to be more boldly flavored, because i think the pairings they have in mind really work. carbonation is great, and at a comfortable abv, this is a really refreshing warm weather beverage. one of my favorites from my visit to bru, which is an awesome place worth checking out when you are in boulder.
