New to me brewery shared tonight by reinheitsgematt... Thanks Matt!! Bottle number 355/370. Pours a dark brown with a little bit of yeast haze with later pours.... Dark tan head rises and drops pretty quickly with decent lacing.
Smells "brown"... Nutty with some dark toast and darker caramel notes. Hops are present but tough to identify.
Flavor mirrors the nose pretty much perfectly... a bit of carry over maltiness really helps meld all the brown ale flavors.. This is pretty damn tasty.
Body is lighter than the flavor profile would lead me to believe... nice carbonation throughout.
Thanks again Matt, I hope we get these bottles up here regularly.

Ingredients (from bottle): malted barley, dried dates, carmelized sugar, northern brewer hops, fuggle hops, & east kent goldings hops, american ale yeast, patience, passion, & a whole lot of love.
Pours the color of cola, and smells dark and malty, a little fruity -- not unlike cola!
Bottle has a layer of sediment.
First taste: mild, smooth, malty brown ale, sweeter than usual, very drinkable. Maybe some tart fruit at the finish. It's the cola of beers. And not in a bad way at all. Very approachable. The 7.6% is well hidden. The hops are pretty well hidden too -- there's a little acidic bite up front, but not very prominent or aggressive.
Poured the dregs (the lees) and tasted them. They are creamier and milder than the first pour, with fewer flavors (the dry fruit is hidden), but still drinkable. Save the last pour for a slightly softer sip.
This is a surprisingly good brown ale. Worth getting some more.
