Pacific Northwest malts provide a balanced taste and mouthfeel, rounded by a smooth caramel background. Made with Citra and Amarillo hops, it finishes with a juicy hop burst with hints of tangerine, lychee, and pink lemonade.

A: Pours a clear auburn gold with a solid foamy white head that persists and laces well.

A: A classic smelling pale ale, rich with pine and grapefruit. Some lightly toasted buttered bread finishes off the sense.

T: Genuinely true to the style. A nice caramel drizzled bread well balanced by the citrus and pine needle flavors one expects in a vintage tasting pale ale.

F: Clean, crisp, and balanced just barely gripping the bitter side of the spectrum. Just the right amount of carbonation to keep this easy to drink well.

O: This was much better than I was expecting. I hate to throw the comparison out there because there is none, but this truly is reminiscent of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale to me. I look forward to doing a side by side someday to see if that holds any merit, but this is a great classic styled American Pale Ale. Cheers!

This was the second beer I tried in relation to my 6 beer flight. Pours a light copper color, 1/3" white head that has average retention. Aroma was lacking. These guys pop off about all these proprietary hops in the commercial tug job, but the reality is, its not enough. I could see something like a 75% C hop bill, but they use 2 proprietary strains for that other 25% and then boast about them. Anyways, I was left going "where is the Citra" like those old "where's the beef" commercials from Wendy's.

There's plenty of caramel in the taste, body and mouthfeel. No region is more addicted to such a thing in their ipa/pale ales. Worthy toes the line. Big on the crystal/caramel malt flavors, the hopping is average, so is the bitterness. Does nothing wrong, so it is "worthy" but solidly average C+ kind of vibe.

Pours a hazy amber with no head or lacing.

Flavors are grassy; somewhat fruity with a healthy, dank grass background. There's generalized bitterness like from fruit rind. Carbonation is light but still feels... effervescent.

Ok.

12oz can poured into tulip.

Pours a bright, clear amber with half a finger of beige head that leaves creepy tentacle lace as it recedes.

Smells of muddled citrus zest, melon, pineapple, caramel, bread dough and piney hops.

Tastes of unripe orange and grapefruit flesh, brown bread, more tropical fruit juicyness, and more resiny hops.

Feels light and airy. Medium bodied with frothy carbonation. Finishes dry.

Verdict: Recommended. A solid hoppy thirst quencher.

From another rater:
"Pours out a deep golden with thick fluffy head. Thick, clumpy lacing. Aroma is more malt than hops, taste is fairly smooth, small hops bite at the end. Nice malt profile. Easy drinker, not too bitter."

Not sure we drank the same beer....maybe his was on tap. Mine, from a can pours a pale golden with a thin head and quite a bit of effervescence. Light lacing and quite prominent hop bite....more like a session IPA, and I can't taste much malt at all. Citrus, lemony aroma and aftertaste. I moved to Oregon about 9 yrs ago from S. Cal and I am so tired of Oregon beers...they are all just way too similar, and this one is no different. I swear, you can find about 30 beers up here that taste identical. To my taste, the benchmark pale ale is Stone Pale Ale, which is so unique. Light hop taste, not too malty (which I hate) and kind of a nutty aftertaste on the palate. I would not buy this again.

Drank straight from the can.

A: Color of ginger ale, quite fizzy but clear without much lacing.

S: Strong nose of alpha hops, tropical fruit, and sugar cane. Quite pleasant

T: Clean acidic hoppiness dominates, with a salted caramel sweetness and some more of the tropical fruit from the smell, particularly pineapple and mango.

M: Sharp clean mouthfeel with a very very nice aftertaste.

Poured 12 oz can into standard pint glass. Amber orange in color, bubbly, white head that dissipated quickly. The aroma is light malt and lemon citrus. The flavor is quite nice, more citrus and fruit balanced with some sweet bread malt goodness. A smooth mouthfeel and caramel aftertaste. I enjoyed this beer & would drink again.

Hazy golden with a hint of orange. Small white head that falls to a skim coat rather quickly. Some rings of lace.
Smell is cracker and some melon.
Taste is mild bitterness fruity cracker malt with a hint of caramel.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. Finish is mildly bitter and dry.
Overall a decent beer but it would be nice to know old this was. Put the date please.
