Look: Straw yellow and opaque on the pour, which generates a white head to build and settle to a lid, leaving behind good lacing
Aroma: Limes, lemons, grapefruit rind, fir needles, kumquats, pine, floral notes, light orange, dusty sage, and soda crackers
Taste: Conifer and citrus come together in a strong way on the initial sip and everything I picked up on in the nose floods in and with a stronger presence than in the aroma. Light floral notes dance around while the citrus and pine party is happening, at times becoming prominent and closes with resinous pine and pithy citrus notes as well as a nice bite
Mouthfeel: Light but full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and moderately dry on the finish
Overall: This is some tasty stuff. I enjoy what these folks do but hadn’t tried this yet so was pleasantly surprised when I was gifted a sixer from my co-worker (thanks Jeannine!) and it’s a really good and unique IPA. I was shocked by the hop profile too as this doesn’t taste like many IPA’s do these days so I expected a curve ball type hop variety to have been used, but it wasn’t. A tasty mix of citrus, conifer, and flowers in a light-bodied IPA with a bite – what’s not to like

12oz can from Hops & Bottles. Pale yellow pour, hazy, foamy head subsides but leaves streaks of lacing. Light citrus aroma, lemon, grapefruit peel. Taste is also light, mostly citrus peel, zesty. Not much here. Light bitterness lingers.

new one from these guys, nice to see, its always the same ones from them around here, so i jumped on this. they always have done the hoppy stuff well, and this is certainly a continuation of that, a really flavorful beer. the mix of hop varietals in this makes it quite layered and complex, amarillo and cascade combine to make it earthy, bitter, and spicy throughout, while mosaic, nugget, and simcoe lend piney bite, bigtime grapefruit character, and that high alpha northwestern character i find so endearing. this has a little haze to it, unfiltered for sure, a short lived white head, and a muted luster. its maybe slightly less carbonated than it could be, but that slows the drink down enough for the hops to fully come out in all their glory, and its a worthwhile trade off. i get pine resin up front with some pink grapefruit, in the middle its orange and lemon verbena, with an almost noble grassy bite at the end, off dry but its all hops not any residual grain character that lingers on the finish. kind of the best of both worlds here with the high bitterness but also all the dry hoppy fruity hop vibes, and a nice cohesive mix of different varietals not always put together. subtle lemongrass, black pepper, and printer paper as it warms, a faint yeast element too that adds an hint of modernity to it, smooth in feel, medium bodied, really good with artisan pizza. hopefully more new worthy stuff is on the way! this is bold and good, if a little less than amazingly fresh when i had it...

edit: perhaps slightly less compelling and distinctive the second time around, but this is good stuff through and through, one of their best for my money on the hoppy side. a little different from what others are doing, unique hint of coconut in the center to me, real solid can of ipa here.

Unsure of the canning date noted as "195910230823" but I assume it means Aug 23, 2023. Consumed on 9/30 from a becher glass. The highlight here is the appearance. Slight haze, pale gold-yellow, very tall white, tight(-ish) head of verrrry long duration, lots of lacing. Not much smell at all but what there is represents fruity goodness, and my sense of smell is not great, so not many points off for that. Some citrus on the taste, plus some fainter indistinguishable fruits. Some mild hop bite, but certainly not overtly "bitter". Good with or without food. Overall, the best $5 per 6pk IPA I have had and comparable quality to many others at twice the price.

Pours a mostly clear honey gold with a finger of rocky head that dissipates to a thin ring with plenty of lacing. Faint aroma of grapefruit and citrus. Taste follows nose.

Pours a nice clear golden coloured body with a thick/rocky off-white head.
Very citrus forward hop aromas. Lemon zest, sharp lime, some grapefruit.
OHH very lemon zest..taste..crisp refreshing first sip, lovely low-level bitterness throughout the mouth full.
