refreshing when freezing but a sort of average pils for me, a little grainy, off dry, lighter than anticipated on the hops side for these guys, who generally pack the hops in pretty good, kind of a mindless drinker for me, without the apparent attention to detail or nuanced complexity as the best of these right now, but i suppose not boring either with some citrus on the back end, a nice freshness, and enough carbonation to really make it move. some up front grain presence in nose and taste, loosely german to me, fresh though, and maybe faintly nutty, but on the dry side and simple and clean, the right foundation for this. even though its not super hoppy, its not not hoppy, if that makes sense, some easy citrus on the back end, an enlivening little pop of bitterness right on the swallow, light green tea floral aspect, herbal and then noble-esque as it warms, but still restrained to me, especially for worthy. its fast paced, the lager yeast is mellow but persistent, and it drinks best when its frosty cold. fine effort, but i would not rank this near the top of their list, so much absurd pils in the northwest these days, it takes a lot to make a lasting impression, and this one doesnt, not an indictment, just an observation...

Out of Bend. Canned recently. Low aroma and mild bitterness on the finish with a subdued sticky malt finish. It’s decent enough and a deal for the price.

Beautiful beer. Crystal clear, gold color, 1.5 finger persistent white head in a pilsner glass. Lots of lacing. Very long lasting steady stream of rising carbonation bubbles. Subtle to virtually no smell, stronger taste consistent with can description of citrus and grassy notes, although I am not really picking up the hint of sweetness that the BA style description claims is common. A mere hint of hop bitterness. Clean finish. Could drink this in volume.
