This was poured into a stange. The appearance was a fairly clear golden orange color with a quickly dissipating head that dissipated fairly quickly. Lacing was few and far between. The smell had some grainy/bready malts with a nice sweet grassy hop to it. The taste had a nice sweet grainy/breadiness arranging around some light citrus characters. Lingering sweet bready aftertaste leads into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light and lets a nice smooth crisp sweetness on my tongue. Overall, as a kolsch, it works. I can’t find much fault with this one to style. A definite pleaser on the hot days.

Smell is grainy with light floral hops.
Taste is bread crust malt with citrus lemon hop notes.
Mouthfeel is light with good carbonation. Finish is dry and mildly bitter.
Overall a well crafted light and refreshing beer.

Pours a classic Kolsch semi-hazy pineapple juice color; head is as fluffy as can be, 2 fingers, leaves speckles of lace. Fingers on the opposite side appear translucent like shower glass.
Aroma of peaches, pears, pineapple, Gala apple; musky malt aromas behind that, with some hay and dew grass.
Taste has mild apples and peaches out front, followed by a sharp pine stab that coincides with the harsh carbonation. It ends with a slight yeast and malt finish.
Feel is intensely carbonated, with a semi-dry and musky finish.
Overall this isn't a bad Kolsch; however I could do without the pine stabs in the middle and the end. This is typical of NW ales though...so I'm not surprised.

Thanks again Beertunes. Much appreciated.
Good looking golden slightly cloudy brew with a creamy white head. Nice bubble action.
Conservative aroma with pale malt and only hints of any hopping.
Hops show in mid-flavor to rather prominent bittering that lingers a good long time. NIce pale malting with no distinct sweetness or other character.
Bigger body than most of this size and rather soft.
Pretty generic. Seems as much as a golden ale as a Kolsch, lacking what I like about that style is a distinct yeast character that I'm not getting here. Nonetheless this is a nice day drinker.
I've adjusted my scores some as this warmed up rather nicely. Some herbal/grassy hop flavors showed and the malts became more complex and interesting. Still not a kolsch but it was tasty.

Pours a bright gold with a two-finger head into my glass. Spot-on.
Light, crisp malt with just the right touch of hops. Not a lager but those not familiar with a kolsch wouldn't notice.
Grainy, crisp and fresh. Love that subtle hop bite and bready malt finish. Mmmm.
Finishes sweet and bready too. So good that I could eat it.
Why go for a lager on a hot day when you could have this?

12 oz can - an orange backdrop, a vertical stripe of black and a swirl of gold upon which "EASY DAY KOLSCH" seems to be stamped. Poured to a pint glass, while watching the Trailblazers-LA Clippers, final game of the NBA regular season. Bottom of can is stamped: "CANNED ON 02/06/14", so it's about 2 months old; picked up at the local Trader Joe's.
In no particular order: "RIDE...CRUISE...BOARD...MOVE" around the rim.
A: Slightly hazy golden/straw pour, 1 finger of white foam to start. Head recedes pretty quickly, dropping to a slim film. Good lacing, a patchy sheen of tight bubbliness, steady carbonation.
S: A bit sweet-smelling and fruity. Apples and a little cantaloupe.
T: Grassy, cereal graininess. Has some pear/apple that ends with a dry/powdery finish. Bitterness tails off pretty quickly.
M: Still pretty bright, refreshing. Per the style, a little thin. Finishes clean. Lighter body.
O: Light, such a good finish. Far too easy to drink. "Session"-strength beer for the pending spring/summer.
