Pours an almost clear, deep amber coloration with a small, frothy head and visible carbonation. Smells of bready, slightly grainy and caramelly malt and herbal, floral, bitter hops. Taste is a good balance of bready, slightly grainy and caramelly malt and herbal, bitter, slightly floral and resinous hops, with just a hint of toffee and pine also coming through. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some toffee and herbal hops lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is a nice bitter with a good balance of bready, grainy malts and herbal, floral hops, as well as sweetness and bitterness. The quite herbal hops really stand out the most here, bringing fresh thyme to mind, with those herbal notes being supplemented very nicely by hints of pine and a good bitterness and rounded out by floral accents and toffee. Overall, this makes for an enjoyable, well-balanced bitter that drinks easy and refreshingly.
