Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy, medium golden amber with coppery notes and a fine, half finger white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus hops, orange and grapefruit with a mild amount of mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is pale malt, grassy and citrus hops, grapefruit and lemon rind. Finish is a bit dry with slightly astringent citrus rind bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. The aroma is quite enticing and leans to a classic West Coast IPA, but the flavor is more like an intense pale ale, with less malt character and bolder hops. Aroma is very citrus forward, but flavor leans more towards more continental grassy noble hops. I wanted a little more of the caramel in the taste from the aroma, but a satisfactory pale malt IPA.

Good solid choice for an IPA, but nothing really unique to earn a higher rating. No faults.
