I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a taster glass.
Appearance: light silvery-yellow hue with a moderate haze and a thin layer of ivory foam. Kind of reminds me of a witbier; not bad at all.
Smell: grainy malt and a piquant, citrusy aroma that reminds me a bit of lemongrass. Not too bad at all.
Taste: slightly tropical fruitiness with a bit of a tangerine character. Malt is grainy rather than sweet and malty, and I think it complements the tropical fruitiness quite well. In fact, the more I taste this the more I get behind it. Bitterness is light but well-rounded.
Mouthfeel: light-medium body with a big and very well-integrated carbonation yielding a surprising and delightful creaminess. Boom!
Overall: this is one of the better session IPAs I’ve had. It’s got a great texture for the style, and it doesn’t give up really good hop character. I’m in!
