I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a taster glass. This was billed as a "plum porter".
Appearance: medium-dark brown with a medium haze and a thin layer of tan foam. Nice.
Smell: slightly sweet and nicely roasty without being overly astringent. There’s a little bit of a dusty element here, but mostly it smells like the malt room of a homebrew shop — no problem with me!
Taste: very slightly sweet with a nice roastiness and a touch of fruitiness. I don’t know the extent of the plums in this brew, but they’re definitely not in-your-face. There’s just kind of a hint of fruitiness which complements the standard roasty element pretty well.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess. Not bad.
Overall: there’s a je ne sais quoi here that I really like and which makes this beer very drinkable for me. Good stuff.

A bit on the sweet side with a lot of chocolate milk notes.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
