Bottle from Belmont station. Lively bottle, little bit of a gusher, not much. Pours out a nice dark amber, small skin of head. nose is kind of musty and Dusty, little bit of leather, a little bit of apples taste brings in the malt a lot more, dry Malts, some more of the Apple. Pretty solid barleywine.

500ml bottle served in a tulip. Bottled July 2020.
Pours a murky amber-brown with a smallish head, creamy, sustained. Smell is boozy, caramel, musty wood.
Taste is interesting -- something bright and fruity about it that I can't place, moderate sweetness, lots of woodiness, the musty/earthiness is really strong, too. Oh, and of course, the booze is making itself known. There's a kind of grape skin bitterness, I think that touches on the fruitiness, too.
Mouthfeel is thick, borderline chewy. Overall, it's pretty good.

A shade between brown and black. Head was a half inch pillow. Minimal lacing. Nose is slightly tart with hints of warm rum, figs, and perhaps grapes. Taste is rich without being too much. Hints of leather, pipe tobacco, prunes, cookies finish slightly syrupy yet dry. Absolutely lovely stuff that has truly improved since it was brewed in January.
