Session lager brewed in collaboration with Cascadia Gooners. Light, crisp and refreshing with a bit of British character from a portion of Maris Otter malt. Hopped with UK Goldings and Czech Saaz.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week glass. Pours a slightly hazy, light to medium golden amber with a short lived quarter finger white had with slight lacing. Aroma of grainy lager malt and grassy hops; a hint of lemon. Flavor is grainy lager malt with a little biscuit, grassy hops, lemon; lightly floral. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Not one of my go-to styles, but always want to see how Machine House handles something new. Glad I checked it out. The hints of biscuit malt and the very English grassy hops are appropriate for a football (I.e. soccer) themed lager. Although the aroma seemed subdued, the flavor is bright and full, with better hop bitterness than I expected. Both the malt and hops are quite flavorful for the low ABV. A pleasant surprise; most sports themed beers seem to be dumbed down to appeal to a wider audience, but this pulls no punches. Nicely done.

16oz can served in a nonic pint. Don't see a date.
Pours clear dark yellow with a medium sized head, moderate active carbonation. Smell is lager yeast funk, a hint of skunk, light honey and wet hay.
Taste is stronger in the grass and wood, bitterness is strong, something between woody astringence and funky earthiness is really dominating.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, surprisingly hefty for the low abv. Interesting, strong flavors. Not bad.
