Small bottle via the Mikkeller Webshop. Orange pour with a white head with good retention. Very refreshing and easy to drink, fruity aromas and a bit of yeast, but nothing funky or out of place.

Pours a cloudy, golden brown with little head that quickly dissipated, with none of the lacing typical for the style. Smells fruity, with predominantly apple and lychee notes and star fruit in the background; next are yeasty aromatics, with only very light floral notes on the tail end. A bit of tartness on the tongue, but nothing overwhelming. The flavor is more simple, with a fair amount of malt and some spice reminiscent of a Belgian dubbel. There is a bit of earthiness to the mouthfeel, with a moderately high body that verges on a slight chalkiness--not unpleasant, but distractingly unusual.

The beer is a deep yellow color, some orange. Clouded over. Smallish white head. Light saison yeast flavor. Orange, lemon. Bready malt. Comes off a bit flabby. Herbaceous. Bananas, pepper, some earthiness. Taste is fairly sweet with a bitter, fairly bland finish. Apples, grapes. Sweet and fruity. Medium body, a little sticky. Not great.
