Got this one from claaark13 a while back. Cheers!
From a bomber into a snifter
APPEARANCE: A clear black pour yields a three finger, thicker looking, creamy dark tan head with good retention. Black body with no carbonation evident. Head fades to a full, thick cap. A ring remains until the end and leaves some falling dots of lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Chilies, cacao aromas, vanilla and sweet cream. Oats and roasted malts in there as well. Bold aromas and nicely put together.
TASTE: Cacao, roasted notes, ashy with sweet cream up front. A bit of pepper at the swallow with a bold and lingering finish of chili peppers, vanilla cream, roasted and burnt flavors, leather and milk chocolate. Good stuff.
PALATE: Medium-fuller body with medium levels of carbonation. Creamy smooth on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a bit mouth-coating. A touch of chili heat lingers.
OVERALL: Really good stuff. Well balanced with lots of character. The peppers are there for sure but they don’t overpower the roasted flavor and other adjunct additions. Decent look and a solid feel on this one as well. Good stuff and is well worth the effort. Thanks again, claaark!
