L - golden, clear pour after the bottle gushed like crazy. After pouring, the head did not last long.
S - ginger and turmeric aromas are strong, vegetal undertones
T - same vegetal flavors come through in the taste, sweet carrot juice, light ginger, bitter mustard greens, dandelion root
F - the carbonation in the pour is fairly moderate after letting the bottle gush for a minute or two, there is a very light spicy aftertaste from the ginger
O - reminiscent of fresh pressed carrot juice with some carbonation, but with some interesting earthy characteristics as well. This bottle was a couple years old but refrigerated the entire time, pleasantly surprised how well the flavors have held up.

A: Very lively carbonation, first glass was golden and transparent, second was full of yeast haze
S: Ginger, turmeric and carrot galore, earthy, light tartness, mustard
T: Very vegetal, carrot, turmeric, ginger, light lemony tartness, mineral, earthy
M: Started with tons of carbonation and eventually became more balanced
O: This is so unique with the vegetable, spice and tart flavors melding nicely

Draft at the Beer Temple, part of a tasting event with Aaron and Marika from Scratch Brewing. Brewed with the following roots: ginger, turmeric, carrot, clover, and burdock.

Dark and slightly hazed amber orange, visible carb trails feed into a loose bubbled head of foam. Aroma was ginger-forward, with some carrot sweetness and complimenting earthy/spicy notes from the other roots.
Similar taste, ginger and carrot are very present, others to lesser degree. Light to medium bodied and fairly crisp and effervescent. Typically i'm not a ginger fan, but it works well here. A complex and assertive blend of ingredients showcased by these masterful, creative brewers.

a neat beer here from these guys, sort of light belgian or saison as a base, but brewed with wild ginger and burdock root, maybe a few other roots too that i cant quite recall and that seem to influence this beer a little less. its very pale golden in color, almost perfectly clear with a short layer of white froth on top. aroma is highly gingery, spicy and earthy and medicinal and natural, but surely intense. there is a floral element at work here too, and something bitter like tea, this is familiar from the ginger aspect, but everything else is new to my nostrils. the taste is a little more restrained, still ginger dominated, but there are other wild earthy things going on here, flowers and something kind of roasted and bitter tasting, which is uncommon and cool in such a light beer. the grain base is really delicate, a honey note to it and very dry, and the yeast is lightly belgian and a little white grape estery, but clean and quick to finish. i know almost nothing about the other roots involved in this beer, but for me, the pungent, aromatic, spicy ginger is pretty pervasive, and i think it is a bit of a distraction from the other unique ingredients, like there might be a little too much of it to appreciate the others fully, but i get their earthy bitterness, and on the whole, i really enjoyed this unique beer. these guys have become one of my absolute favorites!
