Pours a clear, dark brown color. 1/4 inch head of an off-tan color. Good retention and good lacing. Smells of yeast, sweet malt, hint of roasted malt, slight alcohol, and a hint of nut. Fits the style of a Saison / Farmhouse Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, alcohol, yeast, hint of roasted malt, hint of pale malt, and a strong peanut taste (lotus seed). Overall, good appearance, decent aroma, good body, blend, and complexity. The lotus seed is an interesting flavor that is both welcome and yummy.
