Review is of the brett Forest Saison - a dark saison with foraged herbs and roots. Pours black with a slightly fizzy tan head. Decent retention. Almost looks porter-like but with a bit more clarity and ruby tones. Smell is forest floor - leaf litter - and brett aromatics. Some barrel-ish wood notes, maybe a hint of menthol, lycorice, eucalyptus (figuratively on the last one). Taste leads with some roasted grain and moves into cherry cola, more menthol / spearmint, subtle funk and woodiness. Medium body, dry and clean finish. Killer stuff.
