Rustic amber lager brewed with burdock roasted in our hearth oven; after primary fermentation, the beer was allowed to rest on toasted oak heart wood from our property. Clean, crisp malt profile with earthy notes of chocolate, cherry, and freshly sawn oak and a tart espresso-like finish.

(11? oz tulip serving at Beer Temple earlier this month)

Not your typical amber lager. Kind of straddles a middle ground between that and a mild perhaps. Slightly hazy with little foam. Woody and earthy (field and dried leaves) for sure, with a subtle maple note in the finish. Shame it was served too cold (38-44F?) as the serving wasn't enough to take a lil journey through it nuances. Would love to try a bottle-conditioned version, if one exists. Rustic is a good word for it, old-world-y. (2437)

Really enjoyed this offering...

Rich...deep...malty...woody...

Almost reminds me of a doppelbock except much lighter in color...

This would be terrific on a cool fall night on the porch...its super satisfying with its body and terrific finish...

Superb!
