On tap at the Fort Myers Brewing Co. Exactly what a red should be. Pours deep amber - same as the pumpkin beer next to it. Sweet malt is balanced by light hops. A good intro to craft beer.

On tap in Naples. Sorry. Red Tape caught my mouth on a bad night. Couldn't get half-way. Something coated my tongue and I can't blame it on bad hops

Poured from a 32 ounce growler into a Duvel tulip. Growler was filled on 4/12/13 at the brewery.
Appearance: Pours a deep red-amber color with blood orange highlights and a 2 finger frothy off-white head. Excellent head retention and lacing.
Smell: Malty sweetness with a light amount of citrus hops, candied fruit and just a touch of roasted malt in the background.
Taste: Pale malt up front followed by bitter citrus in the middle before ending with a bit of toasted malt at the finish. Aftertaste is lemon zest which lingers for quite a while.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Very high drinkability. Goes down very smooth. I could enjoy several of these without any problem.
Overall: Solid beer overall. The description says it's moderately hopped, but the hops come on pretty strong at the finish. A good effort by a new brewery. I would definitely recommend giving this one a shot.
