Mmmmm...yeah this one has it all.
Probably Baranof's best.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. The lacing was there and sporadic, clingy and flowing in a superb lush way around the glass.
The smell was pure roasty coffee bliss to an energetic citrus and piney hops. It smelled so fresh dark but showed it's other face of pure bittersweet citrus/piney bliss in every sort of way.
The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors and combined wonderfully in a powerfully sweet lush bitter and roasty way.
The mouthfeel was roasty, sweet, bitter, bittersweet all on my tongue.
Overall, I once had FW's Wookey Jack but this could definitely blow that out of the water. So good and so glad I can brag about this one. Hat's off to Baranof for pulling this awesomely.
