Consumed at brewery, 03/03/08.
Crystal clear beer. No bubbles at all. Tiny ring of foam around glass edges. Light honey color.
Aroma of weak macro lager. After warming, aroma turned candied-sugar: very sweet.
Served a bit warmer than I'm used to, which was a good thing.
Restrained malt character. Lightly sweet with lemon nuances. Long after the beer is gone, a corn flavor appears on the palate.
Lurking in the background is a flavor of charcoal or ashes: did the brewmaster put out a cigarette in my beer?
Flavor became more citric and sweeter as beer warmed up. Ashes disappeared. Very mild hop sipciness also appears with higher temp.
Mouthfeel was a little thick with some chewiness, oddly enough.
Despite the improvement the higher temp brought, I'll still pass on having this one again.

Had one of these over at the CBC.
Pours a clear deep golden color with a nice white head. No lace.
Smells clean. Malty with some hops.
Tastes decent. Malty and slightly hopy and maybe a little tart.
Okay mouthfeel also. Light to medium bodied.
A decent brew to have with lunch.
