Galactic Tide pours black, with a nice-sized tan head. The aroma is bitter, with dark chocolate and coffee notes. The flavor is more bitter, dark chocolate notes, and back coffee. Light, almost watery feel. Overall, easy drinking porter, bitter.

Very dark brown mahogany colour. Rich roasty nose, dates, and milk chocolate and a distinct nuttiness. Roasty notes progress strongly and become a bit bitter, then rolls off into a sweet chocolate finish.

I'm not sure I got the rye (there was a bit of spiciness), but otherwise this was a solid full flavored porter. lots of roasted malt character, balanced between sweetness and bitterness, and medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
