12oz can. Imprecise stamping on can bottom looks like a canning date of '04/16/21'.
Cloudy, straw colored body. Brief appearance of one finger white head. No lacing.
Aroma of pils malt and Belgian yeast with bubblegum and cloves.
Taste is from the malts and yeast. Slight tang with bubblegum and cloves. Dry in the aftertaste. Overall has a sweet flavor with the drying yeast.
Medium mouth feel. Good carbonation.
Crisp and dry golden ale with a slight sweet and yeast esters balance.

Pours a semi murky golden color. 2 finger white, frothy head, and the head retention is good. Some lacing on the glass.
The nose has a fruity aroma to it. Sweet, and malty also.
Taste - Sweet and malty. It also has a slight hefe flavor to it - banana, cloves.
The body is lighter, but expected. Not watery. Carbonation hits my palate.
Tasty beer.

Appearance: Pours a deep, slightly clouded pale golden color with a tiny white head that is nearly nonexistant. SRM of 7.0. (3.5)

Aroma: First strong aromas of wheat, corn, and honey followed by a sweet Belgian yeast flavor of clove and orange. Some candy sugar underneath. (3.75)

Flavor: Strong Belgian yeast and pepper upfront. Lots of plastic-like clove and bubblegum yeast esters. A slight plastic taste upfront. Followed by a malty honey and candysugar sweetness. Finishes sweet with a clove and honey flavor. Very well balanced. (3.75)

Feel: Medium-bodied. Lower carbonation, but makes up for it with lots of pepper. Yet, leaves a clove and honey flavor on the palate. Mildly syrupy and hides the alcohol well. Smooth and easy to drink. (3.75).

Overall: A good Belgian blonde ale. Nice malt flavors balanced with Belgian yeast. Lots of clove & bubblegrum and gives it a slight saison feel. Not too sweet and it is relatively well balanced. (Final Rating 3.74)

I'm a fan of this beer. In my mind this was an attempt to capture the origins of this beer which was to make and ale with the refreshing crispness of the newer lagers coming from Germany and Scandinavia. I think this beer is a good version of that. Esp. cold it is crisp and bright. Yet holds the complexity of an ale. Doughy aroma with some fruitiness. Yellow and somewhat cloudy. White head. Smooth malt with the doughy quality. Fruit elements. Bitterness is blending and does not stand out. Nicely balanced. Medium light feel. Soft and smooth.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It smelled of candy sweetness, yeastiness and caramel. Nice sweet flavor with a yeasty bite.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Big three finger white head which settles into a thin creamy layer.

Smell: A yeasty and spicy Belgian style aroma with a scent of spice and cracker. Belgian yeast with a scent of clove and white pepper. Dried fruit hints of banana along with some bubblegum. Malt hints of wheat, grains, and cracker. Sweet hints of candied sugar. A solid aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a spicy and yeasty Belgian style taste with notes of spice and cracker grains. Belgian yeast with notes of clove and pepper. Some dried fruit notes of banana and pear along with some bubblegum. Malt notes of wheat, grains, and cracker. Some sweet notes of candied sugar. A pretty nice taste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp and creamy with a somewhat drying finish.

Nice yeast esters in the aroma and flavor. Thankfully does not go phenolic. Light body and nicely carbonated makes this an easy Belgian inspired summer beer.
