Huginn pours a very dark brown, just about black, with a small, long-lasting head. The aroma is filled with anise/black licorice notes. The flavor has a nice, rich caramel backbone, but with lots of anise and black licorice notes on top. Good feel. Overall, the absinthe flavors are prominent in a very rich and complex winter ale.
