Los Muertos now has two gastropubs. I (we) went to the original in the Zona Romantico, which now is a predominantly gay neighbourhood. But Los Muertos blends that well with their artistic/spiritual theme of revering the dead. So the Vibe is great: inclusive and traditional. Also, rarely does a 12 year old micro show this much graphic talent in their labels and website (although I could live easier without the dead theme...sorry.)

I was pleasantly surprised by the Quality of the 6-brew flight I had. It displayed the full range of brewdom: a light lager, then a few pleasant ales finishing with a semi-dry stout and a hoppy American Strong. Three of the six were close to the better brews in their respective styles. I don't visit as many gastropubs in the States as I should, but this quality across that range is an accomplishment.

Service was good, attentive and responsive. They had coastal Mexico's usual collection of mocktails, cocktails and tequila. My vintner girlfriend, of course, had wine; her sauv blanc was OK, but she had a more limited selection that was dominated by reds ... which shows that beer can hold its own in wine cultures.

We had a quesadilla and it was good. And the pizza looked good and was confirmed by the table next to us. I did read the menu closely and Los Muertos clearly is a level above barfood and it deserves being called a gastropub.

I'd come here again if there weren't so many other great places to eat and drink in Puerto Vallarta.

Nice place to visit but despite a large selection, all of their beer is markedly unimpressive. We didn't even finish any of the 8 tasters we had. Friendly staff and decent food tho.

Stopped here at the end of a walk around the northern part of Puerto Vallarta and the beers rewarded the stop. It is fairly small, with thick dark wood tables with tall stool and rustic looking drink and food signs. The on-tap beer selection covered a basic range with the most common styles expected in North America: dry stout, blonde, amber, IPA, hefeweizen. The ones we tried were nothing exciting, but good basic versions of the styles. Beer selection here, like in in most of Mexico is mostly mass market brews (which we were drinking at our residence) and this brewpub is a big step up from standard fare. We did not eat here, because the menu was pretty much standard north-of-the-border brewpub fare like wings, pizza, burgers, salads and fries. We were more interested in the hole-in-the-wall tacorias off the main tourist area, so had a some beer here and moved on. I rated the food on what I saw and smelled, which, from the trays going by, looked pretty good. Service was great and the overall brewpub was clean and appealing. There was a Stone Brewery gargoyle sticker on the mirror of the restroom, which made me smile. It's an obvious dilemma to create a brewpub in a place like this that will appeal to a broad audience while satisfying fussier craft beer drinkers and I think they did a good job. There are very few places like this in Puerto Vallarta and I would come back again happily.

The location was wonderful and the place was nice and clean. The wait staff was very nice and helped us out during our vacation. I have to say that I did not like any of the beers brewed at the brewery; and I tried them all. Sorry guys but they just didn't appeal to me. I didn't take notes on any of them but I'd be willing to try some again over the winter when I'm in PV again.
