Brewed and named for Lizzie “Spike” Murphy, the first woman to play professional baseball and the first to play against major league players. Brewed exclusively with Nectaron and Azacca hops, this deliciously balanced hazy IPA brings an eclectic swirl of tropical flavours and aromas of passionfruit, peach, mango, pineapple and gentle citrus like grapefruit, plus a balanced and present bitterness.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. My 18th beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and 9th for 2026. Audaciously adored by Sundae the cat...

473 ml can served cold into a tulip. LCBO purchase. review from notes.

Appearance - reasonably hazy yellowy gold brew capped with a finger of somewhat short-lived white head. Small string of lacing remains behind.

Smell - Passionfruit and peach, a bit muted with wheat malt backbone. A little muddled citrus in there as well. Trace of coconut.

Taste - Matches the nose, but a bit subdued. Peach not shining through as much and left with more indiscriminant citrus. Still tasty, just not a standout compared to the usual high bar of Left Field. Coconut also shows up ever so slightly.

Mouthfeel - Smooth and somewhat full bodied, crisp carbonation that verges on gassy. Good juiciness.

Overall - Solid IPA from Left Field, but not one of my faves.
