Notes:
Named after baseball’s most common double play, 6-4-3 is anything but routine. This intensely bitter Double IPA will have you re-reading the Mitchell report to see if it’s on steroids. With a clean and simple malt base that allows the bright orange and grapefruit hop flavours and aromas to shine, 6-4-3 will have hop heads rushing to add it to their own personal highlight reel.

A-Hazy yellow with a hint of orange. White head that lingers
S-I thought there would be more aroma but there isn't. And this is a super fresh (15 days from bottling) beer. I get subtle fruit sweetness with a little orange Citrus
M-Mouthfeel is light to medium with carbonation perfect, and not overpowering
T-Sweet upfront with a smooth bitterness that comes in with hoppy goodness. I get lots of peach and mango and sweet pineapple. Bitterness stays on the palate for a while in a very pleasant way
O-This is a really really good beer, nice puckering quench and well balanced sweet and bitter.

From notes taken last night; first pour from a fresh keg at the Kick Off in Waterloo. It was absolutely stunning, and far superior to previous pints I have enjoyed elsewhere. Not certain whether that's because it was a "new batch" or just that fresh, but the best Ontario DIPA I've ever enjoyed.
Pours a beautiful amber colour with a decided haziness; decent off-white head and the expected lacing. Brilliant hop-forward aroma with lots of pine, resin and citrus. Taste is also very hop-forward. A nice caramelized malt backbone for some balance, but definitely designed for fans of the "west coast" spectrum. The pine and citrus notes are stunning, with a delightful bitterness that lingers for an impressive length of time.

Poured in to pint glass.
A - Hazy orange with a golden glow along the bottom and a thin layer of cream coloured head.
S - Grapefruit, pine and lighter peach and tangerine aromas with a fairly prominent caramel malt sweetness.
T - A big bitterness up front that immediately gives way to a caramel malt sweetness before returning in a somewhat dry, bitter finish. Grapefruit and pine are the dominant flavours with a lighter tangerine presence. Fairly typical flavour profile but still well done.
M - Medium body. Somewhat creamy and sticky. Light carbonation.

On-tap at Volo.
Beer is cloudy golden in colour with a moderately-sized white head. Good lacing and decent retention.
The nose contains an oily hop scent, rather resiny. I don't really get any citrus. Caramel malt and biscuit are there too.
Fairly large malt presence in the flavour, with caramel and biscuit. Lots of hops as well, with a citrus flavour. Grapefruit and pine resin. Booze is noticeable.
Full bodied and oily, with moderate carbonation.
Overall, a decent beer.

On tap at Bar Volo. Fresh batch for IPA challenge. Very drinkable. Hop forward but still attention to balance. Hop juice, citrus and a hint of other fruit. Good hop aroma. Orange coloured body and lacy. Some noticeable yeast presence. Hits the style and then some.
