Looking forward to this, only because I have no idea what Southern Cross hops are. I’m guessing it’s something similar to New Zealand or Australian hops without looking it up.
Poured a golden, orange, hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy, white head when I got it. Some bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Good amount of uneven foamy, spideweb lacing on the sides of the glass. Very good retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.75)
Not sure what Southern Cross hops are, but smelling light Mosaic, rye, sweetened iced tea, light hone, tangerine zest and tropical nots. (Smell - 3.50)
Tasted similar to the nose with light Mosaic, tropical, sweetened iced tea, hints of rye, honey, boozy, bitter earthy rind, mango and light tangerine. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation Abrupt bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This was just an OK IPA, which means that to me Southern Cross is just an OK hop. (Overall - 3.50)
