From tasting notes 01/20/18
Had on-tap at Alpine Beer Co in Alpine, CA
Appearance - Served up in a pint, slight haze and golden yellow in color. Thin, broken layer of suds floating atop. Lacing is broken webbing and a handful of spotting.
Smell - Aroma hits on tangerine, grapefruit and mild cattiness.
Taste - Flavor is all citrus. Some brighter tangerine notes that play off the bitter grapefruit pith undertone. Simple, sweet bready malt backbone.
Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with moderate, bitey carbonation. Crisp, bone dry finish. A bit too dry for my tastes.
Overall - A single hop that's heavy on citrus and bitterness. Not much complexity, thought that's expected as a single hop IPA. It's good, but not their best.

Had yet to try this even though it had been on tap at the brewery for a few weeks. Not sure I had ever had Comet before, but excited to try it.
Poured a medium yellow clear color with two fingers of frothy white head when I got it. Some bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Outstanding lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled dark resin, pine, lime, citrus zest and stone fruit. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted similar to the nose, getting dank resin, some earthy notes, pine, lime, dish soap, but not Cascade-like dish soap, lemon zest, citrus zest and a touch of stone fruit. (Taste - 4.00)
Light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, dank finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This was pretty good, definitely near the top for me in the series. NOTE: Went back and looked, I have it: Mosaic (4.26), Citra (4.17), Comet (3.93), El Dorado (3.84), Equinox (3.78), Galaxy (3.70), Azacca (3.68), Southern Cross (3.54) and Idaho 7 (3.49). (Overall - 4.00)
