Sweet vanilla, mild orange-like citrus, and tons of lactic acid attack the nose right away. Subtle hints of grain rise toward the back as the brew warms up. It's almost like sniffing a carton of vanilla yoghurt that's about to go sour. As unappetizing as that description sounds, this brew is aromatically true to its name.
Yakult, is the first impression. Sour is the second. Sweet vanilla beans provide a nice rounding buffer to what could otherwise be an intense sour sensation. The vanilla somehow turns bitter toward the end and you're left with a quasi dry finish with little sprinkles of vanilla here and there; this is definitely an intermediary drink that beckons to be followed by something stronger and heavier.
Light-bodied, vibrant carbonation; crisp, refreshing.

L: Honey peach color, no head, not to many bubbles
S: Strong vanilla notes, lemon peel, cloves, funky farm yeast, white bread
T: Sour funky taste with hints of vanilla, almost a sauerkraut taste with vanilla added, really weird, finishes with a lemony sour zest
F: Prickly, carbonated, leaves a thin film over your mouth, not very smooth
O: A weird beer that is worth a try if your into trying new things, but with too many flavors going on I wouldn't say I'd recommend it

Hazy golden color with a bit of white foam. Aroma delivers: vanilla sweetness and lactic tartness, makes me think of yogurt with vanilla. Taste follows: starts with lactic tartness but not overly sour, just dry and acidic, but finishes with the vanilla flavor and lingers in the aftertaste. Body is on the lighter side and has medium carbonation. Overall this combination works quite well.
