Bottle shared at August THT. Dark red, clear, with no head. Tons of chilli going on, smoked malts, light peat and nothing much. Quite a disappointing brew.

Muddy reddish-brown with a tan film.
Smell is light smokey, roasted poblano pepper.
Spicy but not too hot, 5 Alarm tastes like drinking straight, but safe, chipotle juice, right out of the can from the Latino isle. But again, not as crazy spicy as that can be. Some toffee-like Brown Ale elements attempt to support this relatively strong flavor, but more or less fail to keep this in quaffable beer territory. This is probably too overpowering to go with anything else, but is a fun experiment.
It felt a little serendipitous that we live right by Hoppin Frog, but got to try this collaboration via Siren being at Copper and Kings for the Shelton Brothers Festival. I'm not sure whether this will be brought stateside, so it was a fun little coincidence for us.

Pours a red brown colour, nice red when held the glass to the light, almost non existent head. Aroma is weak, just some hints of smoked paprika, cocoa, red fruits and brandy, it could be great if they push it a little bit more. Medium to full body with no carbonation. Taste is great, all that the aroma lacks: smoked paprika, hot chili, cocoa, red fruits. A bit more balance between smell and taste and it would be really fantastic.

Collaboration with Hoppin Frog, Keg at Small Bar, Bristol - Pours dark brown/red amber with a small thinned tanned head. Medium carbonation. Aroma- chilli notes, light malts. Taste - chilli blow out, light at first but really builds, light bitter notes. One to savour on its own as the chilli overpowers.
