A 330ml bottle with a BB of March 2018. Acquired a while back from the Brewdog webshop. A collaborative brew with Danish brewery Dry & Bitter; the label describes it as a creamy IPA brewed with oats and lactose for extra body. Hopped with Ekuanot, Hallertau Blanc and Mandarina.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A hazy orange-amber hue with fine suspended sediment and moderate carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before subsiding to a patchy surface layer.

S: Aroma of intense resinous hops with hints of pine, weed, citrus rind, tropical fruit, caramel malt, ale yeast and mild lactose sweetness. You can almost sense the resin in your nostrils. Very nice.

T: Tastes of supremely aromatic hops with notes of pine resin, dank weed, citrus peel, grapefruit, tropical fruit, leafiness, caramel malt, lactose, ale yeast and stewed husks. Quite sweet, followed by a strident pine-laden bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with soft carbonation and a creamy body that borders on unctuous. Hop oils stimulate the palate. Aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops, pine, weed, citrus, caramel malt, lactose and ale yeast.

O: Very good - finally a lactose beer that I approve of. Looks great, though the head retention could be better. The aroma and flavour are stuffed with pine resin, weed, citrus, tropical fruits, caramel malt, lactose and ale yeast. Lovely thick body. Goes down like a hoppy dream. Probably a one-off effort, but worth sampling if you stumble across it.
