Drank from 375 ml bottle on 10-29-18
Look - An aggressive pour led to a little white head that dissipated quickly and left no head. The remaining beer resembled a flat Cherry Coca Cola, plain and simple.
Smell - Acidic
Taste - Dark fruit and acid / Brett funk hits you hard. Really tart. Can definitely get the sweet blackberries. Maybe cherries. The late fruit addition is obvious, and nice, but I think it obscures the barrel aging as I can't get much bourbon or oak, but i'm not complaining.
Feel - Medium mouthfeel, and very tangy.
Overall - Really nice. This is my first time trying Odyssey and will gladly grab it each time I'm in the UK (I'm Boston, MA, USA based). I look forward to trying other variations to see what other combinations this beer offers, especially those that are heavier on the barrel presence. I usually favor a barrel presence over fruit, but this fruit-forward version is damn tasty and adds some nice sweetness to it. I'd really recommend picking up a bottle, or several if you can! Cheers!
