Black color with a beige head. Chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruits, and coconut in the aroma. Sweet taste, balanced by roasted bitterness. Well done.

Reviewed blind, ie before reading the can or any reviews below etc. #1496.
This was step-1 of a 5-step/5-day high, and increasingly so, approach towards my 1500th review planned as a thumping 15.4% De Molen beer.
L- Thick, pours silently even when the pour height is raised to 20-30Cm to encourage head. Superficially pitch black. Held to a haolgen a dull glimmer of ruby at the edge of the glass. 1mm deep tan head .
S- Quite mild. Toasty, some coffee plus smokey hints.
T- Oh ok, Rich and hints of sweet. Pronounced coffee and cocoa. A meaty liquor/ABV% note that on the 1st sip is that pungent it makes me reflexively sneeze!! Deep yet richly toasty. The sweetness is a bit more than idea for me - I'm glad this hasn't warmed much yet. Surely this is liquor barrel aged? Seems more like brandy/cognac than whisky or rum.
F- Pungent, deep. The ABV% is prominent. Not quite shouting buy almost, loud + clear.
O- Big, bold, slow-sippin'/winter-warmer. Perhaps start this one off with a chill on it - it ends up when you're near the end risking outright sweet edge. Loud liquor note - I don't mind;; What a big statement, good job made of it too.
-- Now to read the can! Coffee+coconut Imp stout. Didn't notice the coconut at all (a +ve for me). No liquor barrels involved - wow, surprising.
440ml BB: 21/10/21 bought from TremblingMadness/York £5.25
Ingredients include: Malted barley, oats, lactose (milk) = cheating now, arguably. Coconut + coffee. !!That's .... off to see such listed - no wonder it's meant to taste of them!

Coffee & Coconut Imperial Porter. Collaboration with Varvar Brew, Ukraine.
Black, just a veil of light brown foam.
In the smell intense coffee and coconut, with a good balance. Then chocolate and liquorice.
Very smooth in the taste, and full, with coffee and coconut. And chocolate. Here agan, great balance.
The alcohol (1.4 ABV) is absolutely well hidden.
In the aftertaste bitter notes of roots, that, after the coconut disappears, stay for long time.
