Pours opaque, dark brown in color with minimal head. Taste is fudge, cocoa and smoked malt. Heavy body, low carbonation, slightly bitter. Average English stout. Not bad, but nothing good either.

11.6 ounce bottle, best before date of 020821 printed on the back label. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that didn't stay for too long. Not much lacing at all. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like caramel, cocoa, roasted malt, vanilla and salt. The taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also the addition of some dark bready flavors. Bit of saltiness hits in the finish. It's a mostly sweet tasting beer but not overpoweringly so. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and smooth with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this, but I recommend it more to people who are into sweeter tasting stouts. Still worth a try even if you're not!
