Bottle from Etre Gourmet, served at home in a snifter glass.
Dark brown colour, small head with short retention, just a small line of lacing.
Aroma of bourbon, oak, leather, raisins,, spices, chocolate, some coffee notes.
Medium to full body, oily texture, flat carbonation. Sweet, dry and sour finish.
Taste follows the aroma.
A very rich and complex beer. Love it.

L- Very deep chocolate brown. Held right up to a halogen bulb some cloudiness is apparent. Pours with 3mm tan head.
S- Distinct whisky, plus some coffee notes with a broad roasty-toasty scent coming next.
T- Pungent, coffee, a hint of smoke, liquor-ish (clear whisky). back to coffee, and to and fro the liquor and coffee vie for prominence.
F- It's rich, but the coffee edge is an espresso strong counter-point so overall it's not as rich as you might expect from a 10% ABV beer.
O- Different, but I think you need to be a fan of both whisky and strong coffee to really get this.
375ml bottle. Bought directly from Siren Brewery. Bottled on: 16/01/2019 - if there is a BB marked it's not apparent.

p.s. having re-read the lable. It's aged in bourbon barrels, has a 'blackcurrent tone, with deep coffee and chocolate flavours, complimented by a wisp of smoke and a distinctive bourbon character'. I also see that ingredients include: 'coffee and blackcurrent'.
