I prefer to blind-taste beers like this but it looks like the 'full-spec' is in it's name... so!...
L- Inky black, not even a halogen torch held on the back of the glass gets a photon through it. Pours with partial/patchy dark tan head; this ABV% hasn't the surface-tension to form or maintain more.
S- Big cocoa and a sense of creamy notes. Oh, and, I take it the fat liquor note is whisky...
T- Good grief... massive cocoa, very creamy again (lactose?) and bludgeoning liquor. The 'creamy' briefly also flashes a coconut note on my palate, though unsure I'd have recognised it as that if it weren't in the beers name above. After, the coconut now and then reveals itself from behind the huge cocoa aspect.
F- Big and loud, verging on slightly syrupy, I'm glad I started this pretty well chilled as I can't rush it and it risks being OTT if I linger too long... Rich, pungent, a slow-sipping beer ideal for winter.
O- Woah! Well, if you want a *statement!!* beer....! It's quite something but so full-on I can't imagine buying it again.
The scale of flavours is massive cocoa, medium 'creamy', minor coconut.
375ml bottle Bottled on: Nov-20 Bought from TremblingMadness/York as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.
