It's Simcoe® in the limelight for our second 'Sold My Soul' showcase. This time we've teamed up with Yakima Chief Hops who have kindly brought some exclusive fresh crop to our four-type mix . The combination provides a beautiful spectrum of flavours and aromas of this incredible hop, ranging from tart passion fruit through to juicy ripe mango, clean grapefruit and signature piney bitterness.

Pours an entirely hazed yellow color with a medium sized head.

Smells of oranges all the way, with a pleasant sweet- and surprising lighter smokiness. Also got a juicy lime freshness to it on the nose, together with piney resin and a touch of papaya.

Drinks smooth, medium bodied with a well working, late effervescence, lending the beer a pleasant refreshment.

Tastes of sweet, ripe oranges covered in wet leaves, resin, honey and bitter limes - making this an intense roller coaster from the very beginning. Brings notes of ripe passion fruit, lighter rock sugar and a prominent lime bitterness to the palate, all tied together by a lingering flavor of luscious oranges. Finishes with skunky weed, sweet orange bonbon and prevailing limey hops which benefit from a herbal, leafy complexity which unfolds during the beer‘s longer lasting aftertaste.

Wow, this is truly intense. The beer is hopped to the max in a way which is quite intriguing. The hops not only unleash a resinous bitterness but also a complex fruit- and sweetness at the same time, finding their place in this due to the well working balance and smooth mouthfeel of the beer.
